Riko Weimer
Pianist, Author, Educator.
Born in Japan, Riko came to the US to study with Walter Hautzig at Peabody Institute. She continued her education at École Normale in Paris, France. Riko then returned to Japan to help design a curriculum for a local university’s music department. Upon completing this project, Riko moved to Los Angeles in 1998.
Since her debut as a solo artist in 1987, Riko has been performing recitals solo and ensemble.
Specializing in a style that combines talks and lectures, she has given concerts throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.
The recitals are known for unique theme-oriented programs, such as “Memories: Bach Inventions and Burgmuller Etudes,” “Dance Danse: From Bach’s Dances to La Belle La Valse,” “From Bach to Busoni and Villa-Lobos,” “The Goldberg Journey,” “Complete Selection of Chopin’s Paris Ballades,” “All Brahms on Brahmsstrasse (Vienna),” and “When Beethoven’s Sonatas and Works are Dedicated.”
In 2014, she established the Riko Method School of Piano in Atwater Village, Los Angeles. Her experience educating students ranging from beginners musicians to professional recording artists and piano teachers has earned her praise among global audiences.
Today, Riko Method is available to all music educators worldwide. There are member instructors in US, Canada, Brazil, UK, Hungary, and Japan and the program continues to attract international attention from not only music educators but specialists in the fields of neurology and psychology as well.
Sanford Weimer, MD

Sanford Weimer (MD-Stanford Medical School, MPH-Harvard University)
Our COO, Dr. Weimer, served as Clinical Director of Tuba City Indian Hospital, Clinical Manager of Psychiatric Services at San Francisco General Hospital, Public Health Executive in Orange County California, and consultant to major industry in mining and mental health insurance.
As a teacher himself at USC School of Medicine and Stanford Medical School, he is intimately familiar with the challenges of education.
Dr. Weimer brings skills and experience to support The Riko Method Los Angeles Campus operation and development.
On a day to day basis, his input is utilized in improving the communication between instructors, students, and parents.
His consultation is invaluable in helping design The Riko Method social and psychological foundation.

Paris Weimer, B.A
Staff
Born in Los Angeles, California, Paris was raised in an environment filled with music. Inheriting his mother’s passion for the arts, he’s spent his life studying its positive effects on both the body and mind.
Paris has worked as a research assistant on studies involving the effects of the haptic modality on learning and memory and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UC Merced.
His hobbies include writing, drawing, and playing the guitar.
